Custom drapery rod and draperies at Bacchanal
Rescom Designs was requested to provide a commercial custom drapery solution at Bacchanal, a chic French restaurant in downtown Toronto. The objective was to use custom draperies to close off a small portion of the main dining area of the restaurant and create a cosy private dining space for a large group of persons.
The main challenge of this project was the bulkhead at the edge of the room which created an uneven ceiling for the mounting of the drapery rod. The solution was the creation of a truly custom drapery rod in which each bracket (mounted to the ceiling) was individually made and painted. This truly inventive drapery rod was assembled on site and to the amazement of the client all the pieces fitted together exactly – like a jig saw puzzle.
The plush royal blue drapes were chosen to accentuate the existing restaurant décor. In addition, a lot of attention went into finding the correct finishes that would truly complement the drapes and match the other accessories that were used in the restaurant. Here are some photos of the finished product. We hope that you would enjoy them as much as our client did!
PS: The food at Bacchanal is even more amazing than the décor. Don’t take our word for it …visit them at 60 Sudbury Street, Toronto, ON!
